Russell J. “Butch” Bunker, 72, of Oglesby, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at his home.
Mr. Bunker was born January 22, 1948 in LaSalle to Russel and Alberta (Whittington) Bunker. He graduated from LaSalle-Peru Township High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University. He married Laurel Stuart on October 19, 1976.
Mr. Bunker was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and trapping.
Survivors include his wife, Laurel; their daughter, Jennifer (Scott) Skerston of Peru; two siblings, Warren (Patricia) Bunker of Normal and Karen Dowding of Oglesby and his nieces and nephews, Michael Tregoning, Lisa (Russell) Virgo, Heather (Matthew) Tipton, Aaron Dowding, Katie Bunker Hudson, Brett Bunker, Michael Weygand, Brandi (Nick) Organ, Wendy Zimmerman and Brian Hampton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pamela Tregoning.
