Russell Alfred Jolly 94, of Glendale, passed away October 20, 2018 at Bayberry Commons. Born in Uxbridge, MA he was a son of the late Alfred and Ella (Jetty) Jolly. He was a WWII Army veteran and served in the Military Police Corps. Rusty was a truck driver for Arrow Transportation for many years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the New England Teamster Union 251. He volunteered at the Nasonville Fire Station, and was an assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 88 of Nasonville. Russell also volunteered alongside of his father to maintain St. Theresa’s Church and Cemetery. He founded the Western Hotel Athletic Club and was one of the original members of the Wallum Lake Rod & Gun Club in Burrillville. Russell enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, hiking and snowshoeing and any excuse to spend time outdoors. He loved to cook, tell stories and share a good limerick or two.

He is survived by three daughters,  Karen Wood of Glendale, Pauline Jolly and Linda Jolly both of Atlanta, GA, three grandchildren Jessica, Katie and Mathieu Wood, two great-grandsons, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by Rose (Mathieu) Jolly, a sister Constance Laprise and two brothers Earl and Richard Jolly. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
