Russell A. Hayse, 62, of McCordsville passed away on August 11, 2013, surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 28, 1951, in Anderson, Indiana.
Russell was employed by General Motors for 36 years, most recently at the Allison Transmission Plant. He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School, was a member of the Fortville Christian Church and loved building hot rods with which he won many awards and was featured in “Classic Truck” magazine.
He is survived by his wife Shelley (Apple) Hayse whom he married November 15, 1968, sons: Reggie (Sandy) Hayse of Fortville; Jason (Andrea) Hayse of Greenfield, and Bradley (Kristen) Hayse of Greenwood; mother and step-father: Thelma and Byron Newhouse; brother: Jimmie Hayse; half-sister: Kelly Hayse all of Fortville; step-mother: Rosemary Hayse of Pendleton; grandchildren: Morgan, Maddie and Max Hayse, Bailee and Brook Hayse, Autumn and Stephen Shilling, Joey, Franky, Vinny, and Pauly Hayse.
