Rudy Lorence Valenzuela, 37 years old, passed away in his home in Rimrock, AZ on January 15, 2009. He was born February 10, 1971 in Ajo, AZ to Dario Rene and Kathryn (Rhodes) Valenzuela.
He will always be remembered for his gruff exterior and teddy bear personality. He was an accomplished tattoo artist and a grease monkey on the side. He loved to cook and create outrageous recipes, of course he always loved to eat what he created.
Rudy was a very shy person but that didn’t stop him from being a very giving and accepting person. He was always there when you needed him with no questions asked. He always had a big grin and open arms that lifted you off the ground when he greeted you.
Though Rudy had no children, he treated each one of his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. His childlike innocence and playfulness made him one of the most wonderful persons God could have given to us.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dario Rene Valenzuela; and his beloved dog, Ginger of 18 years.
He is survived by his mother, Kathryn Valenzuela of Badger, CA; his siblings: Irene (Ralph) Maldonado of Ajo, AZ, Rene Valenzuela of Florence, AZ, Vidal Valenzuela of Flagstaff, AZ, Teresa (Robert) Sanchez of Flagstaff, AZ and Angelina Reyna of Tucson, AZ; also by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.
Rudy was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Rudy will be forever missed and those whose lives he touched will always carry a piece of him in their hearts.
God saw that Rudy was hurting, He opened the Gates of Heaven and called Rudy home to give him rest and said, “Son, I did not forget about you”.
