Ruby Virginia Wehunt Ryan passed away of natural causes on July 22,2010 at 9:30 a.m.
She grew up in Etowah, TN and met the love of her life, Harry D. Ryan. They were married in Chattanooga, TN and enjoyed fifty-eight years of marriage. Harry passed away in 2002. For thirty years, Ruby served her country as a dedicated military wife to Harry as he served in the United States Air Force with tours in Alabama, New Mexico, Georgia, and Japan. Ruby also taught kindergarten and first grade.Throughout her life, Ruby loved to read and even at the age of 92, she was reading two novels per week. She loved her friends at the Trussville Senior Center, especially her bridge friends. She was a member of Trussville United Methodist was an outstanding mother, grandmother, educator and friend. She is survived by her son, Patrick Ryan; daughter-in-law, Sandra Ryan and her grandson, Casey Ryan as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
