Ruby Nolan, age 80 of Bode, passed away Tuesday 21, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Ruby Fay Nolan, the daughter of Clarence Ezra Noffsinger and Easter Emaline (Kibler), was born on July 29, 1941 in Warrenville, Illinois. She attended school in Wheaton, Illinois where she got her GED. On November 2, 1957 Ruby was united in marriage with John “Jack” Thomas Nolan Sr. in Warrenville, Illinois. When living in Illinois, she worked at DuPage Convalescent Center for more than 25 years. She later became a housekeeping supervisor. Ruby was a member of the Friends and Neighbors Club in Livermore. Many of Ruby’s hobbies included gardening, canning, doing volunteer work, spending time with family, and enjoying retirement. Left to cherish Ruby’s memory are her children, Mary (Les) Olson of Bode, Marge (Ken) Hood of Rutland, John (Barb) Nolan of Aurora, IL, Julie (Dan) Rush of Wheaton, IL, and Frank Nolan of Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; four sisters, Lulabelle Moline of Bode, Virginia Norman of Bode, Cathy (Ray) Kimber of Warrenville, IL, and Caroline (Gary) Wilson of West Chicago, IL; brother, Gene Noffsinger of Albany, IL; sister-in-law, Carol Nolan; and special friend, Wendell Fortner of Humboldt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John “Jack” Thomas Nolan Sr.; son-in-law, Ken Lambert; and siblings, Doris Satter, Anna Danielson, Edna Lentsch, and John and Bill Noffsinger.
