Muncie – Ruby Lois Morgan, 95, joined her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 9, 2011, following an extended illness.
Ruby was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on November 4, 1915, the daughter of William and Alcie (Stevens) Ball. She married Willard Morgan on June 15, 1936, in Stearns, Kentucky. Mrs. Morgan spent most of her adult life in Muncie.
Ruby was a loving and devoted mother and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include three children, Janice Tapley, Willard Morgan Jr., and Sharon Davis, (husband-Charles), all of Muncie; a former daughter-in-law, Barbara Wellington, Muncie; a brother, Leonard Ball, Muncie; two sisters, Ruth Keith, Muncie and Carole Little, (husband-J. B.), Fairfield, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Mary Ball; six grandchildren, Debbie Ridgeway, Donna Holloway, Angela Morgan, Leslie Weaver, Benjamin Davis, and Jeffrey Davis; eleven great grandchildren, Nicholas Ridgeway, Holly Ridgeway, Nicole Ridgeway, Brittnee Holloway, Brandon Holloway, Megan Weaver, McKenzie Weaver, Jordan Davis, Hailey Davis, Lela Davis and Shelby Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Harold Dean Morgan, a daughter, Lois June; a grandson Charles Davis III; four sisters, Mildred Ball, Doris Jean Ball, Nonnie Slater, and Illa Keith; two brothers, Hollis Ball and Garnett Ball; a son-in-law, Donald Tapley and a daughter-in-law, Judy Morgan.
