Ruby L. Hundertmark Ruby Lavonne Hundertmark has gone to be with the Lord Friday May 2, 2014 at the West Bend Care Center. Ruby Tendall, the daughter of LeRoy and Gladys (Swenson) Tendall was born April 28, 1928 at Kanawha, Iowa. She attended elementary school in rural Wright County and graduated from the Clarion High School in 1946 with a normal training teachers certificate. She attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls for several summers. She taught in rural school for two years, in Thor for 3 years and Livermore for 5 years. On February 7, 1954 she was united in marriage with Cletis Hundertmark at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belmond, Iowa. The couple made their home on their farm near Ottosen, Iowa. Ruby was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Ottosen and the ladies aid of the church. She taught bible school and Sunday school several years, was a 4-H leader and a member of the Calico Quilters of West Bend. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Cletis of Ottosen, IA, daughter Kathy Klaver of Altoona, IA, sons, Paul (Ramona) of Ottosen, IA and Lyle (Carol) of Ames, IA, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 6 step great grandchildren, sisters LaVina Bakken of Garner, IA, Marilyn, (Richard) Howieson of Clarion, IA and a brother Roger (Dolores) Tendall of Garner, IA, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Lynn, all within 3 months in 1987, a sister Adeline in 2002 and a brother in law Carrol Bakken in 2002. Farming and quilting were very important to Ruby but first was her love of Jesus and her family.
