Ruby Joyce Robison was born November 29, 1929, the daughter of Byron “Bynie” William and Florence (Bailey) Robison in Wiota, Iowa, and passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at the Heritage House in Atlantic, Iowa.
Ruby was a life long resident of Anita, graduating from Anita High School. In 1946, she was married to Cecil Littleton. To this union six children were born. Ruby worked for the West Iowa Telephone Company for 13 years and then for Dr. R. F. Coatney’s office for 26 years. She served on the Anita City Council for two terms and was the first female mayor, serving for eight years.
