Stantonsburg….Ruby Godbold, age 97, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.
at 1:00 p.m.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Millie Davis Barnes; husbands, John Marvin Baker, and Bill Godbold; brothers, Lawrence Barnes, and William Barnes; sister, Jennie Mae Walston.
She is survived by her daughters, Faye Whitley (Pay) of Stantonsburg, Bonnie Batchelor of Greenville, Paulette Brown (Bob) of Rockville, VA, Ruby Darcell Young of Wilson; son, Marvin Haywood Baker (Karen) of Rocky Mount; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all her wonderful caregivers that were there for her up until the very end.
