Ruby Elene Woods, age 83, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Monday, October 3, 2016. She was born on February 13, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Woods; grandmother who raised her from birth, Martha Payne; parents, Clay and Arlie Allen; brothers, William, Jay, Gary, Jackie and Joe Allen; sister, Annie May Williams; and a grandson, Clayton “Buzz” Woods.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Bill and Karen Woods of Dalton; daughters and son in law, Ruth Woods of Dalton, Ola Grant of Lafayette, Kathleen Watson of Dalton, Jane and Ralph Duckett of Resaca, Trish Graham of Copper Hill, Dena Cook of Dalton; brothers and sisters in law, Charles and Mary Allen, Stoney Allen, James and Margaret Allen, Clay and Barbara Allen, John and Martha Allen, Wendall and Pat Allen, Tommy Allen, Jimmy and Doris Allen; sisters and brother in law, Marie West, Betty Rich, Linda and Larry Pelfrey; 19 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.
