Roy T. O’Conner, 68, passed away August 27, 2013. He was born January 10, 1945 in Oceanside, CA to the late Floyd and Thelma (Foster) O’Conner. Roy married Joan Byers on June 20, 1965, and she survives. He worked in Air Traffic Control for the Federal Aviation Administration for 25 years retiring in 1997. He held positions at Champaign, O’Hare and Lambert-St. Louis airports. He was passionate about aviation and was a private pilot. He also was an avid reader of mystery, aviation and civil war novels.
