Roy M. Resh, Jr., 81, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He and his wife, Ruth J. (Miller) Resh, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on December 1. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Roy M., Sr. and Cora L. (Stein) Resh. Roy worked for the Bethlehem Steel as a chainman in the beam yard for 30 years, where he was known as “Skippy.” He was member of the New Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Lower Saucon Township. Roy was also a member of the Steel Workers Union and enjoyed the casino. Survivors: his devoted wife, Ruth; children, Roy M. Resh, III and his wife Kathleen of Bethlehem Township, Ronald D. Resh of Bethlehem and Ruthann R. “Rudi” ORourke and her husband Brian of Emmaus; sister, Dorothy Bartholomew of Easton; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Sisters Viola Morzanello, Beatrice Bachman and Dolores Keck died earlier.
