Roy L. Krauss of Moscow died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Aspen Park Healthcare. Roy was born August 18, 1926 at Ennis, Montana to John E. and Florence Daems Krauss. He grew up and started school at Norris, MT, then attended high school at Harrison, MT and graduated from Gallatin County High School at Bozeman. He worked at Montana Hardware Company in Great Falls, MT before entering the US Army in 1945. He served in the Pacific Theater and was discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1946. He returned to Norris and worked for his father at the Norris Texaco Station. He met Beverly McDowell and they were married on August 1, 1947 in McAllister, MT. The couple moved to Spokane while Roy attended Kinman Business College, and secured a position with Moore Business Forms. They lived in Wenatchee for a time before returning to Spokane when Roy accepted a position with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as the store credit manager.
