Roy Benton Haskins, Jr., 68, of 1291 Snow Creek Rd., Martinsville, VA died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at his residence. Born June 29, 1944 in Franklin County, Benton was the son of the late Roy Benton Haskins, Sr. and Ruby Pedigo Haskins. Benton was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and had worked for W. M. Bassett. Surviving are four sisters, Maureen H. Wingfield, Mary H. Richardson Prillaman, Edna H. Mitchell and Faye H. Mitchell all of Snow Creek and by nieces and nephews, Joe Wingfield, Kent Wingfield, Keith Wingfield, John Richardson, Carolyn Davis, Jimmy Mitchell, Nancy Northern, Roy Mitchell and Lisa Hutchens.
