Ross Eliot Helm, 61, of Cromwell, husband of Bonnie (Mattson) Helm, passed away on Wednesday, October 6th at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late Knute and Marjorie (Simmons) Helm. Ross graduated Wethersfield High School, Class of 1967, and served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974. He always had a story to tell which always brought a smile to everyone’s face. He loved all sports and family vacations were always the best. Ross’s family was most important in his life. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Tucker Ross Helm of Middletown; his daughters, Taylor Leigh Helm and Kimberly Jean Helm of Rocky Hill; two brothers, Anders Helm and his children, Leah, Genevieve, Anders and David Helm and his wife, Denise and their daughter, Katie; two sisters, Sally Farrell and her husband, Jack and Jane DeLuca and her husband, Tony and their son, Spencer and his brother-in-law Douglas Mattson and his wife, Corinne and their daughter, Christine. The Helm family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the “Eleven Group” who organized a golf fundraiser this summer to benefit MS in Ross’s honor.
