Rosie V. Arrossa

     Rosie V. Arrossa, 86, a resident of Gooding, passed away April 1, 2013, at Willowbrook Assisted Living in Twin Falls, Idaho.                                

     Rosie was born to Juan and Atanasia Aspiasu on February 7, 1927, at Jerome, Idaho.  She was the fourth of six children in her family.

     Rosie married Pete Arrossa of Ispoure, France, on April 8, 1944 in Jerome, Idaho.  The marriage was later confirmed at St.

     Rosie and Pete raised their three children in Shoshone on a dairy cattle and sheep farm. Their first priority was always their family and they worked hard providing for them.  They enjoyed their activities, sporting events and in later years, Rosie supported her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities, never missing an event if at all possible.

     Rosie enjoyed her house, gardening, cooking (nobody ever went away hungry) and most of all her family.

     Rosie was proud of her Basque heritage, enjoying the Basque dances, picnics, and card games.

     Rosie was a member of St.

     Rosie is survived by her three children:  Pete Arrossa, of Jerome Idaho; Gina (Doug) Pendleton, of Pocatello, Idaho; and  George (Molly) Arrossa, of Kimberly, Idaho; one sister Josephine Olander, of Heyburn, Idaho; six grandchildren, John Pendleton, Lisa Miller, Tracy Pettinger, Rich Arrossa  Monty Arrossa, and Jamie Shetler.  She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.

     Rosie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pete, and siblings John Aspiasu, Mary Lazaro, Antonia Llona, and Delores Alberdi.
