Rosella L. Bastian age 92, of Escanaba, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 21, 2022 at Christian Park Village in Escanaba.
Rosella was born on August 2, 1930 in Brillion, Wisconsin, the daughter of Robert and Hermania (Kresser) Caflisch. She was raised in Brillion until later relocating to Gladstone, Michigan. Before moving, Rosella was united in marriage to the late Howard James Bastian. Together they shared many wonderful years. Rosella loved to make cookies, especially at the Antique Village inside of the fair grounds. She also was a member of the U.P. Steam and Gas Association and the Salvation Army. She also really enjoyed helping the Salvation Army make pasties. She will be deeply missed by many.
Rosella is survived by her children, Robert (LeeAnn) Bastian, Beverly (Mike) Thompson, and Joyce (Mike) Mularz, sisters Pearl Folletz, Geraldine Beilke, and Alice (Ken) Halterman, sisters-in-law Eva Viau and Laurel Caflisch, grandchildren James Bastian, Robert Bastian, Dennis (Amanda) Bastian, Cindy Mularz, Carrie McCormick, Christy (Carl) Wuolukka, and Michael (Kristin) Mularz, 17 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren with one on the way, and many nieces and nephews.
Rosella is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Laurence Caflisch, Fredrick Caflisch, William Caflisch, and Dale Caflisch, sisters Caroline (Clarence) Kaderabek and Ruby Kidd, and brothers-in-law LeRoy Folletz and Gene Beilke.
