Rosella F. (Eckstein) Fleener, 98, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012. She was born December 5, 1914 in Ripley County to the late John and Frances M. (Aiche) Eckstein. She retired from her job in the Payroll Dept. at Fort Benjamin Harrison Finance Center after 26 years of service.
Rosella was a member of Moose Lodge #17 in Indianapolis. She is survived by her son William F. (Janet) Sayre, Jr. of McCordsville; step-daughter Carol Kleppe of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Suzette Paulsen, Mike (Donna) Sayre, and Jim (Rena) Sayre, all of McCordsville; 11 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and brother Joe Eckstein of West Baden. Rosella was preceded in death by her husband Charles Fleener; and sisters Bernice and Mary.
