“Together Again”
Our dear sweet mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt to many nieces and nephews and friend to all who knew her, Rose Day, 94, valiantly completed her mortal mission here on earth on February 5, 2022. Rose was born to wonderful parents, Glenn & Hazel Jorgensen on August 6, 1927. Her life was filled with love, hard work, learning and new adventures. She had a sense of humor and that was always evident.
Rose married her eternal companion, Robert Day in the Logan LDS Temple. They have six children: Richard (Janet), Raymond (Beverly), Robert (Kathy), Rulon (Mary), Rose Marie, Rita (Sterling), & her dear friend Patricia. Rose’s children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren are her greatest treasurers. They were taught to love the Lord, the value of good work and service to others.
Rose worked for the Navy Base, Ogden School Lunch program, volunteered with the Ogden School Reading Program and retired from the Defense Depot Ogden.
Rose was is active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. Rose has a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and she knows and loves her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a Cub Scout leader and a Girl Scout leader. Rose and her husband spent a lot of time doing family history work and attending the temple. She loves the scriptures and spent hours studying. She and her husband were world travelers and loved the time they spent in the Holy Land.
Rose is preceded in death by her eternal sweetheart: Robert Day, her parents: Glenn & Hazel Jorgensen, her brothers & sisters: Roy (LaPreal), Thelma (Preston), Neoma (Orren), Glenn (Leona), her daughter Rose Marie, daughter-in-law Kathy, two grandsons and one great granddaughter.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Jean McGuire who lovingly cared for Rose and thank her for her friendship. We appreciate the kindness and care of Encompass Home Health who have given compassionate care to Rose, nurse Wendy and aid Karen. Also, Dr. Seth Lewis, nurses and other hospice workers who nurtured Rose, as well as the care givers and family through the last couple of weeks. We love you all!
