Rose Mary (Wright) Vaught, 85, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at her home in Whiteland.  Rose Mary was born on April 20, 1929 in Franklin to the late Clarence R. and Zelia E. (Walters) Wright. She was a graduate of Franklin Community High School. Rose Mary was married to Robert Vaught, who preceded her in death in 2006. She was a homemaker and assessor for several years in Clark and Pleasant townships.

She was a member of the Community Congregational Church in Franklin, where she was a member of the Women’s fellowship and the Joy Singers. She was a 50 plus year member of the Eastern Star of Jubilee Lodge #746 and a member of the Ruby Jewels chapter of the Red Hat Society in Whiteland. Rose Mary enjoyed volunteering at the Interchurch Food Pantry and the Salvation Army for several years. She played in several card clubs locally, enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and needlepoint. She loved music and sang in church choirs since childhood.  Rose Mary was a giving person, always lending a helping hand to family, friends and others.

She is survived by three daughters, Brenda (Alan) Smith and Mary (Elijah- JR) Patrick both of Whiteland and Shirley (Ken) Holt of Greenwood; a sister, Juanita (Leonard) Gosser of Franklin, a brother, Noble (Juanita) Wright of Franklin; six grandchildren, Angie (Brian) Boltz, Kristie (Brad) Gentry, Brandy (Aaron) Vermeulen, Mandy (Greg) Ennis, Trevor Holt and Caroline Holt; eleven great grandchildren, Mali, Kali and Riley Vermeulen, Megan and Taylor Ennis, Ashley Arthur, Ammariah Floyd, Nate Boltz, Brett, Brayton and Griffin Gentry; and two great-great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Mia Floyd.
