Rose Marie Fox Smith, a native of Cullomburg and a resident of Toddtown, answered the Master’s call Sunday, May 27, 2018, surrounded by family. She was born July 12, 1949 to Melton Sr. and Lorene Daniels Fox.
A member of the Church of the Living God of Coffeeville, she was a faithful, devoted and dedicated member: she served in the choir, missionary and wherever she was needed. Mrs. Smith loved Sunday School and attending church as a whole. Her husband, Elder Rober Smith, founder and pastor.
She was emplyed by the Clarke County Board of Education as a teacher’s aide in Special Education Deparment and as a substitute teacher; she loved her students.
She enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her brother, Melton Fox Jr.
Left to cherish her memories her loviong and devoted husband, Elder Robert Smith Sr. of Toddtown; one dovoted daughter, Tammy (David) Chesse of Mobile; three devoted sons, Robert Smith Jr. of Toddtown, Darnelle Manuel and Parrish (Antoinette) Manuel, both of Cullomburg; two stepsons, Robert Earl Smith of Montgomery and John (Cecelia) SMith of Sulfar, Va.; one brother, Marvin (Betty) Fox Sr. of Cullomburg; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
Service will be Saturday, June 2, with viewing from 12-noon until the 1 p.m. homegoing celebration at Church of God of Deliverance, 2454 Blue Dirt Road, Cullomburg, with Bishop Willie D. Roberts, pastor, and Elder Robert Smith, eulogist.
