In her younger years, Mrs. Avalle was employed as a candy girl at the former Union Square and Palace Theatres. She was also employed for a time at Castine Movers. She and her husband moved to Arizona, where she was trained as a Nursing Assistant. She was then employed as a nurse’s aide at a home for children with disabilities. They moved back to Pittsfield for a short time, and then moved to Florida where she continued working various jobs well into her 70’s.
She and her husband, John J. Avalle were married October 15, 1945.
