Rose Lesnick, 100, a resident of Payson and formerly of Yonkers, New York, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2015. Rose was born on November 28, 1914 in Halifax, Massachusetts and was raised in No. Westport and Fall River. She was the oldest child of Edouard and Valentine Parisee’s 11 children.
After graduating from B.M.C. Durfee High School, Rose moved to New York City, where she began working for Sheffield Farms Co., owned by National Dairy Products Corp. which later became Kraft, where she administered vehicle registration for all of the company’s trucks in the east. She loved to go bowling with coworkers and see shows at Radio City Music Hall and other venues. In 1942, Rose married Edward C. Lesnick, Sr. and became a homemaker for many years while residing in Yonkers. Later she started her own business providing vehicle registration for a number of automobile dealers in Yonkers. She and her husband retired to live in Arizona in the 1980s.
Rose is survived by her son, Edward (Ned) Lesnick, Jr of CA; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren of WA, CA, and AZ; her sister, Rita Kennann of CA; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Loretta McCormick, Irene Brady, Doris Shurtleff, Bernadette Schmidt Debus, Pauline Tripp, Leo, Armand, and Edward Parisee, and Peter Ross.
