Rose Emily (Enea) Gentile, 88, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Rolling Hills Care Center in Lebanon, New Jersey, with her family by her side. Cherished daughter of the late James and Nancy (Caleca) Enea, and dear sister to Frank Enea, Adeline Sauchelli and Pat Enea, and the late Ned, John, and Mary. Beloved wife of the late Pasquale D. Gentile, Sr., devoted father of Pasquale D. (Sandra) Gentile, Jr. and James P. (Maureen) Gentile. Treasured “Grammie” to grandchildren Dante, Dominic, Nicholas, Jamie and Mary Nicole Gentile. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. A graduate of Easton High School and East Stroudsburg State Teachers College with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Lehigh University. Was a beloved school teacher for many years, including as Supervisor of Physical Education in the Easton School District and, after the births of her sons, for 14 years as an elementary physical education teacher in the Salisbury School District, before retiring in 1982. She was a life member of the Lehigh and Northampton Pa. Association of School Retirees Chapters and the PSEA retirees. She was also a life member of the Bethlehem Senior Citizens Council. Known by all for her devotion to family and her warmth to everyone she met.
