Rose Eluide Charles was born in Saint-Michel-de-l’Attalaye, Haiti on May 3, 1935, to the late Anastassie & Micius Charles. She was the youngest of 8 children: 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Even as a youngster, she was known to take matters into her own hands. She was a strong, loving, beautiful, God-fearing woman. She worked as a local seamstress, sewing everything from wedding dresses to school uniforms. Also running a small depot selling grain, lentils and other goods.

However, his real passion was his family. More specifically, raising Yanick and Patrick Charles as his own. Playing a central role in the lives of all his nieces and nephews. Always, teaching them to love and trust the Lord; encouraging them to travel and love others.

Not only did she care deeply for her family, but also for others. Take pride in making natural remedies and medicines to help the sick. She was a dedicated member of her church community and a devout Christian.

On June 20, 2022, Rose Eluide Charles was called home to join her parents; sisters: Zeline, Viergena Lydia, Rose Simone, Elodie; Fernand & Danlair brothers; adopted son/nephew, Rev. Pastor Patrick Charles; niece, Claire Andre’ Raphael and other beloved family members.

She leaves behind her adopted daughter/niece; beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, her sisters-in-law: Mrs. Fernand Charles and Mariette Blain and a host of family members and friends.

To our dear aunt, our matriarch:

We will miss you very much. We thank you for all your love and sacrifices. Thank you for the lessons and for being an example of a strong, faithful and resilient Christian woman. We are in awe of you. What you have done for this family will never be forgotten. Your reward in heaven will be abundant. God rest your soul and rest in eternal peace. We love you.
