Ronnie Thomas, age 72 of Rensselaer, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at home. He was born July 10, 1946 in Corsicana, TX the son of Willie O. and Hazel M. (Herring) Thomas.
After high school, Ronnie proudly served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He married Brenda Aldrich on October 10, 1980 in Hammond, Indiana. Ronnie was a sales representative at Vineyard Furniture, from which he retired. He attended the Nazarene Church in DeMotte, was a member of the DAV, and supporter of the NRA.
Ronnie is survived by his father: Willie Thomas of Bossier City, LA; wife: Brenda Thomas of Rensselaer, IN; children: Ginger Ragan of Urbanna, VA; Jennifer (Ryan) Dillard of Kansas City, MO; Justin (Rachael) Thomas of Lakeland, FL; 2 grandchildren: Caleb Dillard and Noah Thomas; sister: Connie (Doug) Williams of Haughton, LA.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, 5 children, and one brother.
