Ronda Renae Bess, 71, of Johnston, Iowa went home to be with Jesus, Sunday, December 26, 2021. She passed away after a hard week battling covid. She was a dearly loved piano and organ teacher in Johnston, Iowa. She had a passion for music and enjoyed teaching her students.
Ronda was born February 3, 1950, in North Platte, Nebraska. She graduated from North Platte High School in 1968 and received her BA in Education at Kearney State College in 1971. She married Richard Bess in 1970 and spent the last 49 years in Iowa. While living in Iowa she held many positions including Bankers Life, St. Augustin School, Des Moines Substitute Dispatching and Critchett’s Piano & Organ. She spent the last 20 years sharing her love of music with over hundreds of students. Ronda’s major love was for her Savior Jesus and serving Him.
Ronda is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Rian (Heather); daughters, Regina and Rishel (Erin); grandchildren: Zack, Trey, Jake, Hannah, Gavin, Brooke, Austin, Miya, Addie, Caitlin; sisters, Sherry (Bob), Joyce (Gene) and Kendra (Ken); stepbrother, Paul (Bonnie); cousins, nieces and nephews.
