Ronald T. Bunting, affectionately called Rabbit by close family and old friends, was a loving and dedicated husband to Rosemarie “Dolly” Bunting, father to his children, and Poppy to his grandchildren. He passed away at the age of 79 at home from a long illness surrounded by his loving wife and two daughters.

Ron was born on May 10, 1941 in Salem, New Jersey to the late Marie Evelyn Bunting Cobb. He was a country boy at heart who loved everything about nature. He exposed his children to hiking in the woods, fishing, and finding small animals like frogs, turtles, salamanders, and even snakes. Ron had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. He was generous to friends, families, and strangers alike!

Ron worked his way up in General Motors beginning on the assembly line in Wilmington, Delaware, to department foreman in St. Louis Missouri, then Paint Department Superintendent in Shreveport, LA and finally, retiring in 1999 from the General Motors Fort Wayne Assembly as Trim Department Superintendent.

He loved gardening, home decorating, and talking to anyone who would talk back! Ron loved music – namely anything by Johnnie Mathis and opera played very loudly much to the annoyance of his family and neighbors.

Ronald’s mother, Marie Bunting Cobb, sister Delores Gandy, brothers Vincent and Alonzo “Tommy” Holden, niece Tammy Brown, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins precede him in death. His wife of 55 years Rosemarie (Rodriques) Bunting, Fort Wayne, IN; brothers Winford and Curtis Holden, Bridgeton, NJ; daughters Tracy Swinton (Tyrone), Indianapolis, IN and Misty Bunting Rose (Kristian), Douglasville, GA; son Brian Veasey, Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Jade Campbell Indianapolis, IN, Devin and Jace Rose, Douglasville, GA; niece Parris Cudjoe (Ackah), Darby, PA; special cousin/brother Richard Moore (Virginia), Atlanta, GA; and a host of other family and friends are left to mourn his loss and celebrate his reward of total healing in Heaven.
