Ronald L. Seymour passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Wuesthoff Hospice House in Rockledge, Florida.
For many years Ron and Shirley enjoyed their vacation condo at Cape Shores in Cape Canaveral, Ron having family in the area. In 2001 they moved to Melbourne and bought a home in Grande Isle. Ron was an active participant in the club’s hospitality committee for many years, and was the steward of the flagpole, making sure the flag was at half-mast when appropriate.
Besides playing golf and enjoying sports on TV, Ron loved the couple’s two schnauzers, first Schultz and then Dietrich. But more than anything, he and Shirley loved cruising. They took more than 80 cruises on the Holland America line around the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico, through the Panama Canal, and up the West Coast and had platinum medallions for more than 700 days at sea.
