Ronald K. Peters, 72, of Freeport, died Thursday, December 18, 2009 at his home. Born January 14, 1937 in Pecatonica he was the son of John and Louise Peters. He married Rosetta A. Lehmann December 6, 1958 and she died September 30, 2007.Ron served in the United States Air Force from January of 1954 to November of 1957.He worked at Kelly Springfield Tire, did cement work, but was best known as a local painter in Freeport.
Surviving are his four daughters, Georgina, Corie, Connie and Rhonda; two sons, Frank and John; his sister, Linda (Raymond) Swanson; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 1 sister; and 1 brother.
