Ronald Joseph Costa, Sr., age 74 of Heritage Village, Southbury, died peacefully on Friday, February 25, 2011 after a brief illness. Born in Fall River, MA, on March 1, 1936, the son of the late John and Alice (Perry) Costa, he moved to Bridgeport when he was 17. Ron began his career working at the Lab at St. Vincent’s before moving to Danbury Hospital, where he worked a variety of jobs for 37 years. Upon his retirement from Danbury Hospital as VP of Operations, he worked as the VP of Administrative Support for Meyer Jabara for over a decade.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carolyn (Drabek) Costa, 3 children; Ronald J. Costa Jr and his wife Kristen of Trumbull, John F. Costa and his wife Margaret of Norwalk, and Cheryl A. Pallisco and her husband Vincent of Sherman, 4 cherished grandchildren; Sara and Leigh Costa and Vienna and Vincent Pallisco Jr., as well as a brother John Costa and his wife Janet of Fairfield, nephew John Costa of FL and several grand nieces and nephews. Ron was also the proud uncle of his late nephew, Ralph Costa.
