Ronald George McKeown, 83, of Newnan, was born May 15, 1930, in Belvidere, IL, and passed away at his home on February 28, 2014, after an illness of more than three years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Catherine McKeown of Belvidere, IL. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Emily Jones McKeown of Newnan; a daughter, Theresa McKeown Arrington of Acworth, GA; sons, Joseph McKeown (wife Lenora) of Douglasville, GA, Pat Jones of Newnan, Sam Jones, Sr. of Newnan, Dennis Jones, Sr. of Franklin, Casey Jones (wife Jenny) of Franklin. There are 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, William McKeown of Des Plains, IL, and sister, Mary McKeown of Belvidere, IL. There is an extended family of many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Ron retired from Fidelity Finance Corp. at age 64. He then worked for Adesa Auction at age 65 where he worked until his health prevented his further employment.
