Ronald Ernest Cawthon

“Every day is a good day.” Our beloved Ronnie said that through the good days and the not-so-good days as he fought the fight against Non-Hodgkins’s Lymphoma. He bravely gave of himself for his family, friends and students, all of whom he loved so much.

Ronald Ernest Cawthon, born September 23, 1951 went to Heaven on Saturday, April 26, 2014. He had a strong belief in Jesus Christ and there is no doubt that he is reunited with his mother, Audrey Cawthon, and his adored grandmother Louise Adams Brooks, and his grandparents Maxie and Eaphie Wilkinson. Ronnie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elaine Parker Cawthon, daughters Tammi (david) Dingess and Kimberly (Chris) Fountian, four grandchilderen: Kara and Michael Dingess, and Delayney and Roxy-Parker Fountian. The bonus children and grandchildren , who called him “Papa Ronnie” were endless and he loved them all. He is also survived by his father, Ray Cawthon of Holt, Madge and Mike Pickens of Holt, and brothers Roger (Omana) Cawthon of Washington DC and Charles (Rhonda) Cawthon of Crestview, Nephews, Mattt (Kappi) and son Mattox, and Drew Cawthon, Nieces, Lysha and Geetha Cawthon.

Ronnie loved teaching in the Okaloosa County School System. He loved, laughed, and leaves behind a legacy of future electricians. Our heartfelt thanks to the many peers who loved and supported us.
