Ronald married Barbara (Curtis) McCarty on December 1, 2005 and she survives. Mr. McCarty had worked as a Machine Operator for the RCA Marion Plant for 32 years prior to his retirement in 1999.
Besides his wife of nine years, Barbara, he is survived by five daughters, Lisa Reed, Lexington, Kentucky, Rachel Goins (husband-Jason), Jonesboro, Angela Smith and Shelly Clifford (husband-Dennis Jr.), both of Muncie and Jennifer King, Alexandria; two sons, Aaron Smith (wife-Amy), Indianapolis and Michael Smith (wife-Jennifer), Clarksville, Tennessee; twenty two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; mother, Colleen McCarty, Matthews; three sisters, Diana Brooks (husband-Ron) and Sandra Loer (husband-David),both of Matthews and Lana Lorance (husband-Cecil), Muncie; and his brother, Lee mcCarty, Matthews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward C. McCarty in 2001.
