Ronald Dewitt Upton, 66, of Anderson, passed away November 19, 2015 at his home after a long battle with cancer. Ron was born on September 6, 1949 in Livingston, Tennessee.
He was retired, having worked as a truck driver, carpenter, roofer, and concrete finisher.
Ron attended Valley Grove Free Will Baptist Church and was a member of Allons Baptist Church in Allons, TN.
He enjoyed fishing, singing, and playing his guitar and steel guitar. While living in Tennessee, he performed with the “Old Country Gospel” Band.
Ronald is survived by his wife Jeanie Upton of Anderson; 2 sons, Toby Upton and Joey (Sandy) Upton both of Anderson; 3 Step-Sons, Russ (Lisa) Petty of Anderson, Daniel Petty of Marquette, MI, and Eric (Melanie) Petty of Sarasota, FL; Sister, Louise Rich of Anderson; 3 Brothers, Donald (Joanna) Upton, Wayne (Rosalinde) Upton both of Anderson, and Jeff Upton of Livingston, TN; 2 Grandchildren, Mason and Mya Upton; 7 Step-Grandchildren; 13 Step-Great-Grandchildren; Step-Great-Great-Grandson; Several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by Parents, Delmuss and Maurine (Pennington) Upton; Brother, Mitchell Upton; Brother-in-Law, C.B. Rich; Step-Daughter and Step-Son.
