Ronald Dean Hunt was born on August 4, 1941 and grew up in Newton, IA. He graduated from Newton High School. On September 14th, 1959, Ron was married to Sharon Mallory in Newton. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1962. Ron worked at the Parsons Company until it closed. In 1977 he moved to Marshalltown and worked at Fisher Controls until 1994. Ron then worked at The Maytag Company until 2005. In 1998 he moved to the Des Moines area. Ron currently was working part time as a security guard at Adventureland.
Ron went to be with his Lord and savior on Wednesday, November 26th, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 67. Ron was preceded in death by his son, Ron Hunt, Jr. (Tink); his parents, Jay, Sr. and Neola Hunt; and his brother, Larry Hunt.
