Mr. Ronald Crowe, Sr. was born November 7, 1931, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The sixth of nine siblings, he was  born to the union of Bennie Crowe, Sr. and Addie Mitchell Crowe.  His parents antedated him in death.

Ronald attended Public Schools #4 and #17, and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School, in 1949.  He loved all sports and while in high school, Ron played on the Varsity Baseball Team for four years as the catcher.

Ronald enlisted to serve in the United States Air Force. The majority of his tour of duty was spent in Greenland.

Ronald was united in Holy Matrimony to Barbara Hart.  She preceded him in death.

Ronald was  always on the move.  If invited, he was in attendance at any kind of celebration.  He became the LIFE of the party, and he and Madie would dance when granted the opportunity.  Always one to emphatically express his opinion, he channeled his energies in a positive manner, and tried to lift the spirits of those who surrounded him.

Ronald was a sports aficionado.  He was well-versed in all areas of sports.  He knew the rules of the game, the names of the players, and he could recant scores, statistics and memorable plays from recent years and years past.  He was staunch supporter of his home teams, The Indiana Pacers and The Indianapolis Colts, often attending games when he could.  He was the coolest dad, granddad, and uncle there ever was, and he truly supported and encouraged all youth.  Dad, Granddaddy and Uncle Ronald made it his business to attend any game that his relatives and friends’ progeny played in on all levels.  Whether youth or professional, if he was informed of the time and place of the sporting event, he would be there, and if time allowed, he would give pointers, training tips and having coached, he would often mentor.  He was just that kind of guy.  He also volunteered at the Golden Glove fights.

Ronald departed this earthly life Sunday morning, July 21, 2019, at the age of eighty-seven years seven months and    fifteen days.   He was preceded in death by all of his eight siblings:  Herbert; Evelyn; Cleo; Bennie, Jr.; Lindsey, Sr.; Norman and the twins, Ernestine and Ernest, and his youngest son, Reginald, “Reggie”.
