Rolando Chavez Garcia passed away Friday, August 21, 2020, at Hospice of West Alabama.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Abigail Garcia Lopez; and sister, Ana Bertha Chavez.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie Smith Chavez of Buhl, Ala.; daughter, Anna Maria Chavez; son Chance Taylor Chavez; sisters, Carolina Chavez and Maria Del Carmen Chavez; brother, Rafa Chavez Garcia; and father, Rafael Chavez Rodriguez.Rolando was a very hardworking man who owned his own business and worked six days a week; only being off on Sundays. He always wanted to work on his cars or the house on his only day off instead of just relaxing in bed all day. He was a wonderful husband to his wife of 23 years, and an amazing father to two beautiful kids. Rolando was the most kind hearted person you would ever meet and was always willing o help others. He always enjoyed watching soccer through the week and just mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
