Roland Chester Russell, Jr. “Butch”, 69 of Perryville, MD passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.
Born in Elkton, MD, on January 4, 1948, he was the son of the late Roland Chester Russell, Sr. and Iva (Bertell) Russell.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Prior to his retirement, Butch worked as a carpenter for Schultz Mobile Homes, Elkton, MD.
He enjoyed woodworking and music. He also enjoyed relaxing on the beach of the North East River. He loved his family dearly and took great joy in watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.
Survivors include his wife: Denise Tumolo; 5 daughters: Danielle Vinc of Earleville, MD, Jennifer Russell of Elkton, MD, Rolanda Russell of OH, and twins :Jamie Russell and Jessica Gerber both of Elkton, MD: 2 stepdaughters: Anna Tumolo of North East, MD and Stephanie Rottenberg of Orlando, FL; 5 sisters: Margie Russell Butler and Rolanda ‘Linda’ Mullins both of Elkton, MD, Charlotte Blankenship of Winnabow, NC, Cheryl Doughten of Calabash, NC and Tammy Zabenko of Winnabow, NC; a brother: John ‘Mike’ Russell of Elkton, MD; and his 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
