Roland L. Cloutier, 74, of Ashford, CT passed away peacefully at Backus Hospital Friday, March 3, 2017 with his family by his side. Roland was born in Danielson, CT September 16, 1942 to the late Lucien and Lucie Cloutier.
Roland is survived by his wife Lorraine, daughter and son-in-law Gail and Darrel Lovley, and son Steven Hemingway, brother Marc and his wife Tina Cloutier, goddaughter and niece Alexina Carey and her husband Tim, nephew Jean Marc Cloutier and fiancée Jennifer Rettig, niece Amy Reaves, nephew Michael Reaves and grandnephews Sam, Dan and Henry, sister-in-law Carol Kuhn and her husband Bill, brothers-in-law Richard and Gerald Golab, sister-in-law Sandra Golab and daughter Jessica, along with many cousins, relatives in Canada, and many friends.

An avid sports fan, Roland held season tickets to UConn’s men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, football, and attended many other sporting events at UConn as well as Eastern CT State University and area high schools.
