It is with deep sorrow that we announce that Dr. Rohit Jain passed away on Thursday June 16, 2011 in Huntsville, AL, after battling cancer for three years.
Dr. Jain had a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur, India in 1972. He was awarded a PhD. In Accounting from University of Florida, Gainesville in 1978. Rohit moved to Huntsville in 1997 after living in New York City; Horsham, PA; Cherry Hill, NJ; Hong Kong, and Virginia Beach, VA. He was a tenured professor in Accounting at Alabama A&M University in Huntsville.
Rohit’s affable personality endeared him to everyone. He cherished community service and was always keen to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife Ila, daughters, Tarina and Raina, and son in law Shaun Coburn.
