Roger Winford Ford

Roger Winford Ford was born September 14, 1938, in Leola, AR to the late Dewey and Katye Lamb Ford. He graduated from Leola High School in 1956 and served three years in the United States Army during the Cold War with most of his time being served in Germany. He worked more than forty years as a master journeyman electrician in the service and manufacturing industries. Roger died at his home in Leola on February 4, 2016.
Roger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Westerman Ford, two sons; Gregory Ford of Fort Smith and Geoffrey (Tasha) Ford of Benton, LA; two grandsons, Caleb and Isaac Ford; four sisters, Anita Matlock, Bivian (Dale) Hale, Bettye Faye (Micheal) Gerety, and Beverly (Randy) Williams, and a host of extended family and friends.Roger was an avid outdoorsman and a faithful attendee of his grandsons’ events. He was a member of Leola Missionary Baptist Church.
