Roger William Osborne, 73, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 30, 2021. He was born to Bill and Ruth Osborne on May 8, 1948. He graduated from Temple City High School in 1966. He enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1972 and served in Hanau Germany. He was discharged in 1975 and began working various jobs throughout his life. Roger was a warehouseman, communications technician, storage facilitator manager, truck driver, and school bus driver for Leon County ISD. God’s amazing grace was evident throughout his life. His greatest joy, other than his relationship with Jesus, was the birth of his son. Roger was a faithful dad and was a successful parent.
Roger loved Jesus. He enjoyed sharing his faith with children. He taught Bible lessons in children’s church and worked in AWANA for many years. He became a magician so he could use his magic tricks to share the gospel with children. He retired from Leon County in 2011 and soon met and married his wife, Nancy. Soon after they married, he became ill, and she faithfully ministered to Roger.
He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents William Hamilton Osborne and Ruth Eleanor Osborne.
