Roger R. Wheeler, 72, of Nineveh, died on Sunday, December 11, 2016, in Franklin. He was born on June 20, 1944, in Moundsville, West Virginia, to his parents, William and Sophia (Huggins) Wheeler.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Local 103 International Union of Operating Engineers. Roger enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets, building cars, racing motorcycles, and hunting.

Roger is survived by his wife, Barbara Wheeler of Nineveh, his children, Eric (Serena) Wheeler of Spencer, Shane (Stacy) Wheeler of Plainfield, David “Sam” (Sandy) Wheeler of Peru, and stepson, Josh (Letrisha) Weber of Indianapolis, two sisters, Twilla Rasmussen of Greenwood, and Iris Denoon of Camby, six grandchildren: Dylan Wheeler, Levi Wheeler, Zachery Wheeler, Savanna Wheeler, Sophia Wheeler, and Sydnee Wheeler, and two step-grandchildren, Kassandie Weber, and Mayla Weber.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gene and Raymond Wheeler, and one sister, Juanita.
