Roger R. Selmeyer, 69, of Anderson, passed peacefully at his home on August 8, 2013 after an 8 month battle with cancer.
He was born on January 1, 1944, in Dearborn County, Indiana and resided most of his life in Markleville. He retired from General Motors/Magnequench after 37 years of service.
Roger is survived by his loving spouse whom he married in 1979, Carol Hummer Selmeyer; children, Chris Karen Selmeyer, Cathy Bryon Clevenger, Robert Thompson, Michelle Rob Plough; grandchildren, Tiarra, Chris, Christal, Abby, Brandon, Kayla, Robert, and Sarah; brother, Larry Selmeyer; several nieces and nephews also survive. He was a very devoted family man who loved his family and extended family. His favorite saying was “Off You Go!”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Norma Selmeyer; brothers, DeWayne and Romaine Selmeyer.
