Roger Lee Syruws, 70, of St. Joseph Church Road entered into his eternal reward on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Preston County on June 22, 1945, a son of the late Albine and Eva Lewis Syruws.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Roger graduated from Tunnelton High School in 1964 and Valley Forge Christian College of PA. He was a pastor in Kentucky and Kingwood where he started Kingwood Christian Fellowship. He also worked in the lab for Patriot Coal Company and was a giving, caring person, who loved the Lord. He also loved to read his bible and study.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rosella Park Syruws; two sons, Todd Syruws and wife, Nicole of Boise, ID and Derek Syruws and wife, Treasa of Kingwood; three grandsons, Hunter and wife, Toni of Boise, ID, Forest and wife, Nicole of Killeen, TX and Avery Syruws of Kingwood.; two brothers, Jim and wife, Nancy of Niagara Falls, NY and Bob Syruws of Jane Lew; three sisters, Joan DeLabio and husband, Joey of Niagara Falls, NY, Geraldine Haskiell and husband, Bill of Tunnelton and Linda Thompson and Ron Ludwick of Reedsville.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, William (Buck) Syruws and his sister, Sue Nair.
