Robert D. Carter, 71, of Clyde, died at his home on Saturday, February 7, 2015.
Roger was born in Sparta, Tennessee on August 5, 1943 to Lanwood and Josie (Miller) Carter.
At the age of nine, he moved to Clyde. He graduated from Clyde High School in 1961.
Mr. Carter retired from Whirlpool in 2003 after 35 years. He enjoyed being a wood craver.
On September 1, 1962, he married Sharon Carter. She survives, along with their two daughters, Eileen Turner and Dionne (Brian) Myers, all of Clyde. His mother Josie survives in Fremont. Six grandchildren; Skip (Ashley) Turner; Darrin (Shawnelle) Turner; Logan Carter-Myers; Alicia Carter-Koonce; Hayden Myers and Luke Myers. Five great grandchildren; Sienna, Beckett, Aurora, Koltan and Weston Turner also survive. Two sisters, Lynda Ridall, Dayton and Patty Carter-Ysaguirre (Raul), Fairborn, Ohio and one brother, Michael (Judy) Carter, Huron survive as well.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, a son, Roger Carter in 1998, and a daughter, Alicia Carter in 1964.
