Roger Alan Finney
Roger was born in Dallas, Texas on May 1, 1961 to P.N. & Louise Rowe Finney. After a long & hard fought battle, Roger went to be with his Lord on July 27, 2014.
Roger was preceded in death by both parents, a sister – Kathy Finney East, and a brother – Larry Moss.
He is survived by two daughters Elizabeth Finney of Watauga, and Rusti Finney of Mesquite; two beautiful granddaughters Savannah and Charlee; his Mom of 49 years Pearline Finney of Mesquite; a sister Debra Euziere of Plano; three brothers Carl Finney of Bowie, Randy Moss of Mesquite, and Fred Moss of Garland; and his former wife and mother of his children Shawndell Finney of Mesquite. Multiple nieces, nephews, and other family members will also mourn his loss.
Raised in a Christian home, Roger’s faith sustained him throughout all the days of his life. He prayed daily, not only for himself, but for those whom he loved. In the latter years of his life, Roger was a witness to all who would listen, and was very proud of every soul he turned to the Lord Jesus Christ. He loved Rodgers Baptist Church, and was thankful for all the members who have prayed for him and supported him over these past years.
As the Bible states in John 14:2, “In my Father’s house are many mansions; … ” Roger now lives in glory everlasting in one of those mansions.
