Rodolfo “Rudy” Telles, 91, passed away on Tuesday May 31, 2016 at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Mr. Telles was born November 19, 1924 to Pablo Telles and Filomena Estrada in Fierro, NM. Rudy was a veteran of World War II. In 1943 Rudy enlisted in the US Navy where he was a Fireman First Class. In 1955, Rudy became disabled and received an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps. He returned to Bayard, NM where he lived with his wife Elvira Misquez until her death in 1985. Rudy was an active member of the VFW Chapter 3347, a huge Chicago Cubs fan and loved music and dancing.
Mr. Telles is survived by a son, Barney Telles of Texas; a daughter, Xochitl Trujillo; son-in-law, George and their four kids; granddaughters, Odette and husband Joseph Shanks; Lisette and husband Chris Quezada; three great-grandchildren Joey and Felizia Shanks and Gracie Quezada all of Arizona. Mr. Telles was preceded in death by his parents, wife and four brothers.
